Matt Laughlin, MA: Psychotherapy and Forgiveness Workshops in Boulder and Denver, CO
About Matt
After completing over two years in a doctor of naturopathic medicine program with Bastyr University of Seattle, Matt decided to focus his professional work more closely on the inner dimensions of healing. He earned an MA in Contemplative Psychotherapy at Naropa University, a program integrating eastern (meditation & Buddhist psychology) and western approaches to the practice of counseling.
In addition to private practice, Matt continues to volunteer with Access Counseling, a nonprofit organization providing counseling services in Boulder. Matt is especially dedicated to the process of forgiveness, and facilitates workshops and seminars on a mindfulness-based forgiveness approach to overcoming resentments.
Matt is the co-founder and editor-in-chief of Unified Health: A Clinician’s Forum, a quarterly publication launched in 2005, which reaches thousands of healthcare professionals across the country. He has been fortunate to have the opportunity to interview numerous leaders in health, medicine, psychology and spirituality. Free access to several interviews are available here: Unified Health Featured Interviews.
Contemplation, prayer, and consciousness studies, in alignment with the teachings of psychiatrist and author, David R. Hawkins, MD, PhD, are at the core of Matt’s life. Matt has attended numerous seminars by Dr. Hawkins, which provide a guiding inspiration.
At
the heart of Matt's counseling practice is a commitment to
excellence, integrity, and professionalism on behalf of all the clients he serves. Matt lives with his wife in Boulder, Colorado.
