Spiritual Principles and Psychotherapy: Tips from a Boulder Therapist
Free articles from a Boulder Therapist...
The aim of this page is to share central strategies from my
Boulder psychotherapy practice you can apply to your life and/or explore in counseling
Each strategy is inspired by the study of great minds in psychology
and spirituality and informed by my personal and clinical experience.
Given the unique and private nature of one's spiritual orientation
in life, one of the most useful ways to explore spirituality
and therapy is by way of spiritual principles (all spiritual
orientations are met with respect in therapy).
Spiritual principles such as
compassion, humility, mindfulness , intention, willingness,
surrender and kindness are each therapeutic in their own right,
and are central to numerous psychotherapy orientations.
Simply reflecting on one principle you find yourself
most attracted to tends to increase the likelihood of
seeing and experiencing a dilemma in a new, empowering way.
Each article to posted is written with the intention of supporting your
process of self-inquiry and reflection on these themes, and how
they might apply to your life goals, struggles and relationships.
I hope you find these resources useful.
